The overwhelming success of the Black Barbershop Health Outreach Program's national efforts have culminated into the 1st African American Men's Health and Empowerment Summit that took place Saturday February 28, 2009 at the California Science Center. The first of its kind in Los Angeles, the Summit addressed health and social issues specific to African American Men and their advancement.
